What Are Synergy 3D Printed Composite Veneers?

Welcome to the future of smile design.
Synergy 3D Printed Composite Veneers are a breakthrough innovation in cosmetic dentistry, created exclusively by Synergy Dental.

Unlike traditional composite veneers that are sculpted directly onto your teeth, Synergy 3D Printed Composite Veneers are digitally designed and precision-printed to match your individual smile. The composite is designed and printed outside the mouth, creating an ultra-smooth, highly polished veneer that is then bonded directly to your teeth.

Digitally printed composite veneer

Enhanced composite strength

Superior gloss & definition

This cutting-edge approach gives you the strength and beauty of porcelain with the convenience and flexibility of composite, and all in one single appointment.

At Synergy Dental, our clinicians are national leaders in this advanced procedure, performing more of these treatments than any other clinic in the UK.
It’s a revolution in composite smile design, and the next evolution of cosmetic dentistry.

Why Choose Synergy 3D Printed Composite Veneers?

Every Synergy 3D printed smile is digitally designed with precision using advanced software to perfectly complement your facial structure and natural features. Each smile is personally crafted by our in-house digital smile designers, using Smile Cloud® technology to ensure your results are harmonious and bespoke. The margins of each tooth are sharper and more defined, giving your smile a beautifully natural and lifelike appearance. Thanks to the reinforced composite material, Synergy 3D Printed Composite Veneers are also stronger and more durable, meaning less cracking, less staining, and a long-lasting, high-gloss finish. The entire process is fast and comfortable, taking around 90 minutes in a single appointment, this is ideal for patients who prefer minimal chair time and a non-invasive experience. Before treatment, you’ll also review a mock-up smile preview, allowing you to see and approve your new smile before you commit, this is something that is exclusively done at Synergy Dental Clinics. And because the treatment is digitally streamlined, it’s also more cost-effective than traditional veneers, while still delivering exceptional, premium-level aesthetics with minimal alteration to your natural teeth. With Synergy 3D Printed Composite Veneers, you get cutting-edge design, superior strength, and stunning results, all in one appointment.

Smile Makeover

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We have a range of choices for smile makeovers to help you create the smile you’ve always wanted. What you need will depend on your current smile and what you hope to achieve. Our dentists will help you decide what treatment suits your smile best. We offer:

  • Veneers are made from porcelain – these thin shells act as a cover for your natural teeth, letting you change the size, shape and shade, making teeth seem brighter and straighter. Veneers are hardwearing and last for 15+ years with the right care. Veneers do, however, require your teeth to be shaved down slightly, making the process irreversible. At Synergy, we ensure this preparation is as little as possible to avoid causing damage to the natural teeth.
  • Crowns are similar to veneers. Where veneers are made for cosmetic purposes, crowns are designed to restore a broken tooth. They are made from porcelain and act as caps to protect a damaged tooth from further wear. Like veneers, crowns require the existing tooth to be shaved down to make room for the crown, making the process irreversible. A high quality crown is extremely durable and lasts for 15+ years.
  • Composite veneers/ edge bonding is the process of adding composite material to the existing teeth. This filling-coloured material is used to adjust the size, shape, and shade of teeth without the need to shave the natural tooth down, making the process reversible. Composite veneers are less hardwearing than porcelain, but can still last for up to 5 years with proper care.
  • Invisalign is a popular method of straightening teeth, and can be effective in mild, moderate, and even some complex misalignment cases. Using a series of clear aligners, Invisalign gradually moves your teeth closer to your desired position. Because Invisalign aligners are clear, nobody will notice you have them on! Plus, the aligners are removable, meaning they’re easier to clean and you won’t need to give up any foods you love!
  • Whitening might be recommended if you’re happy with the shape and size of your teeth, but want to change the shade. We sometimes refer to this as a mini smile makeover, and use this for people who are mostly happy with their teeth but want a brighter smile. Our whitening treatments are designed for use at home overnight, letting you whiten your smile in your sleep.

Sometimes, we may recommend a blended approach to treatment. For example, we might use Invisalign and composite bonding together to create a straight smile that’s bright and symmetrical.

Smile makeovers can vary in how long results last for based on the treatment chosen and the aftercare followed. To extend the life of your smile makeover, make sure you follow all your dentists’ instructions.

  • Veneers and crowns – can last for 15+ years
  • Composite bonding – can last for up to 5 years before retouching is required
  • Invisalign – can last a lifetime provided you wear your retainer as recommended
  • Whitening – can last 3+ provided you follow a regular top up routine, after which you may need another course of treatment.

Smile makeovers aren’t painful at all, though it’s normal to feel a little bit of discomfort during the preparation stage if you’re having veneers or crowns. You may also experience a feeling of “pressure” with each new aligner for the first few days during Invisalign treatment.

If you’re concerned about the levels of pain, ask your dentist about anaesthetic. Alternatively, we offer IV sedation if you’re really nervous – this makes your body feel relaxed whilst letting you remain conscious and follow instructions.

It’s important to remember that no matter what treatment you’ve had for your smile makeover, you still need to brush and floss like you would with your natural teeth. It’s important to attend regular cleanings with your dentist at least twice a year to keep your smile free from plaque and bacteria in the places you can’t quite reach with a toothbrush.

You should also avoid staining activities like smoking, drinking wine, and drinking coffee to keep your smile bright.

Your dentist will give you detailed guidance on how best to care for your smile.
